ViaAir is offering free flights to and from Southern West Virginia for those impacted by the flooding.
West Virginia residents who need to leave the area due to flooding will be able to fly from the Raleigh County Memorial Airport (Beckley, WV – BKW) at no cost. For those needing to get to Southern West Virginia to help family members or assist with relief efforts, ViaAir is also offering free flights into Beckley.
“Since we began flying from Beckley in 2014, West Virginia has become a huge part of our hearts at ViaAir,” said Irit Vizer, President and CEO of ViaAir. “West Virginia is like home to us and the community has embraced us since we began flight service. West Virginia means so much to us, and we want to help and show our support during the crisis the flooding has created.”
Those in need of a flight to leave the impacted area to stay with family or friends out of state will be flown for free on any of ViaAir’s scheduled flights. Those trying to reach Southern West Virginia to help with flood relief will be flown into Beckley for free also on any of ViaAir’s scheduled flights.
